Air Quality Health Alert: Take Action

NYSDOH and NYSDEC have issued an air quality health advisory for today, Thursday, July 16, for fine particulate matter for all of New York State due to the impact of smoke from wildfires in Northern Minnesota and Canada.  Wildfire smoke and high temperatures are creating unhealthy air conditions across Western New York. Air Quality Index levels are above 150 in parts of the region, including Erie County. Take action!  Monitor your local air quality and take measures to limit your exposure, including limiting your outdoor activity.
