4 Ways to Start Focusing on Heart Health
1. Healthy Eating Habits! Even small changes can make a difference. Grab a family member and head to the grocery store! Look for foods low in sodium, added sugar and trans fats. Don't forget to stock up on fruits and veggies!
2. Physical Activity! Our bodies work best with at least 30 minutes of physical activity daily. Bundle up and join your family members on a walk, sign up for an exercise class or even challenge a friend of family member to a friendly fitness competition!
3. Focus on health care. It is important to get your blood pressure and cholesterol levels checked regularly be a healthcare provider. If you are already taking medication to control these risk factors, make sure you are taking your medications daily!
