Diabetes & Your Eyes

People with diabetes are at higher risk for eye diseases, such as glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy. That is why it is extremely important for diabetics to obtain an annual retinal eye examination.

According to American Optometric Association’s American Eye-Q® survey, only 54 percent of diabetics regularly visit their eye doctor.
